Pontes GameZone is a virtual casino with many cards and dice games.
It contains Blackjack, Five Cards Draw Poker, Cards War, Who is Greater, Connect 4, Slot Machine and Scopa (with its variants Escoba, Scopone and Scopone Escoba). .
You have a virtual wallet containing your money - $1000 (at beginning or after a reset of the game to defaults).
The goal in this game is to win more than one million dollars, this way the casino goes bankrupt. This performance can be post on the web with a chosen name.
There is also a bar area where you can order products like coffee, tea, juice, beer, whisky and cigar. Spending money at the bar area, the player has bonus at winnings.

Pontes GameZone was programmed in Java and Android SDK by Emanuel Boboiu (Manu).
Blackjack, also known as twenty-one, is the most widely played casino banking game in the world. Blackjack is a comparing card game between a player and dealer, meaning that players compete against the dealer but not against any other players.
In the Pontes version for Android, it is played with one deck of 52 cards. The object of the game is to beat the dealer, which can be done in a number of ways:
- Get 21 points on the player's first two cards (called a blackjack), without a dealer blackjack;
- Reach a final score higher than the dealer without exceeding 21; or
- Let the dealer draw additional cards until his or her hand exceeds 21.
The player or players are dealt an initial two-card hand and add together the value of their cards. Face cards (kings, queens, and jacks) are counted as ten points. A player and the dealer can count his or her own ace as 1 point or 11 points. All other cards are counted as the numeric value shown on the card. After receiving their initial two cards, players have the option of getting a "hit", or taking an additional card. In a given round, the player or the dealer wins by having a score of 21 or by having the highest score that is less than 21. Scoring higher than 21 (called "busting" or "going bust") results in a loss. A player may win by having any final score equal to or less than 21 if the dealer busts. If a player holds an ace valued as 11, the hand is called "soft", meaning that the player cannot go bust by taking an additional card; 11 plus the value of any other card will always be less than or equal to 21. Otherwise, the hand is "hard".
The dealer has to take hits until his or her cards total 17 or more points. (In some casinos the dealer also hits on a "soft" 17, e.g. an initial ace and six.) Players win if they do not bust and have a total that is higher than the dealer's. The dealer loses if he or she busts or has a lesser hand than the player who has not busted. If the player and dealer have the same total, this is called a "push" and the player typically does not win or lose money on that hand.
Five-card draw (also known as a Cantrell draw) is a poker variant that is considered the simplest variant of poker. As a result, it is often the first variant learned by most new players. It is commonly played in home games but rarely played in casino and tournament play. The variant is also offered by some online venues, although it is not as popular as other variants such as Texas hold 'em.
In pontes variant, play begins with player being dealt five cards all face down, hidden for dealer.
After dealing, the "draw" phase begins. The player specifies how many of his or her cards he or she wishes to replace and discards them.
The deck is retrieved, and the player is dealt from the deck the same number of cards he or she discarded so that the player again has five cards.
Finally the player presses the Showdown button and the player and ealer's hand of cards are compared, the better hand won the pot.
Pontes Cards War is a very simple cards game in which player must win more battles than dealer.
At the start of the game, the dealer and the player receive 26 cards from a shuffled deck.
A battle consist in placing a card on the table by player and dealer. Who has a greater value on the cards win the battle.
It is possible in this game to choose war sounds by checking the last button found in the lower part of the screen.
Pontes Who is Greater is a dice game.
A game consists in a set of dice rolling untill dealer or player reach the score of 6 points.
A point is won by that who has a greater pair of dice. If a player has a double, the score is increased by 2.
This game has also human voices for dice in English, Italian and Romanian languages.
Connect Four (also known as Captain's Mistress, Four Up, Plot Four, Find Four, Fourplay, Four in a Row and Four in a Line) is a two-player connection game in which the players first choose a color and then take turns dropping colored discs from the top into a seven-column, six-row vertically suspended grid. The pieces fall straight down, occupying the next available space within the column. The objective of the game is to connect four of one's own discs of the same color next to each other vertically, horizontally, or diagonally before your opponent.
The Pontes variant for Android has the possibility to choose between AI opponent and an human partner who is near the player.
There are 4 dificulty levels: Easy, Medium, Hard and Almost impossible. To change the difficulty level, choose the first option in the menu of the game.
Pontes Slot Machine is a simple game where the player can insert one, two or three coins into machine.
Pull the Handle after inserting coins and three cylinders will spin for a short while.
These cylinders have each six faces where the numbers 0, 1, 2, 3, 5, 7 are drawn.
In order to win money, after spinning the faces shown to player must be one of the next combinations:
The player can shake the device in order to insert coins or to pull the handle of the machine.
La scopa come from Italy and Spain, and is traditionally played with Italian or Spanish cards. In Spain, it is called Escoba, and is also well known in North Africa where it has many other names.
In the Pontes GameZone variant, normal cards have been used for sake of simplicity.
Game rules
Pontes Scopa can be played against the dealer. We play with a 52 cards deck where figures are removed. We therefore have 40 cards going from ace to 10.
At the beginning of the game, the dealer puts 4 cards visible on the table, then deal 3 cards to each player.
When nobody hasn't cards anymore in his hand, the dealer again deal 3 cards to each player, until the deck is empty.
Since the deck contains initially 36 cards, there are 6 distributions of 3 cards when playing with 2 players.
One play one after each other, the player starting the game. At your turn, choose a card to play, then:
The central card of the game is of course the 7 of diamond. In addition to be worth 1 point alone, it also contributes to win points in all other categories. The secondary objective of the game is to collect a maximum of cards, especially diamonds.
If there is a draw between two players for a category, for example two players own each two 7, then no point is given for that category.
When one play on a real table, a scopa game is generally played until someone reach 11, 16 or 21 points. Additionally, the winner is only declared if he wins by at least two points against his opponents. The game keeps going as long as he wins by only a single point or if the game is draw.
Scopa
If a player can collect all remaining cards on the table during his turn, he makes what is called a scopa and immediately wins a bonus point. The next player has of course no choice but putting a new card on the table, since there is none to collect.
Options and variants
Escoba
In this variant, the card you are playing together with one or more cards of the table must sum up to 15 unstead of being simply equal in order to collect the later. For example, by playing a 6, you can collect a 9, or a 4 and a 5.
Other rules don't change. This variant allow for slightly better strategies than classic game.
Scopone
IN this variant, no card is put on the table at the beginning of the game, and 10 cards are dealt to each player at a time.
Some players estimate that this version offer better strategy than classical game.
Note that scopone and escoba variants can be combined.
To choose a variant, go in Menu (More options) and the first choice is Choose a variant; the default one is Classic Scopa.
To set the target score, choose the second option in Menu; by default it is set to 11 points.
Shaking the device a new game is started or, if it is already started, the card on the table and in player's hand are announced.
